    They're at it again...

Congress is doing the hugely important work of renaming Post Offices. WTF?

It's like everyone who's died in the war is getting a Post Office named after them.

    I don't get it.

Happy New Year. I hope you all had a safe and wonderful holiday season. As many of you know the 110th Democratic led Congress has been called the “Do Nothing Congress” or the “Post Office Congress.”

This Congress has received those labels because of a lack of progress, stalled legislation, and political games by the majority. Instead of tackling the important issues like immigration, social security, and improving healthcare, the Democratic leadership has decided to rename federal buildings.

In fact, of the 155 bills signed into law, 64 of them renamed post offices and court houses.
    No shit. It's ridiculous.

No they shouldn't, but if they want to rename it "Spying on Citizens" I'd be down with that.

that is a factually inaccurate depiction, your rights are trumped by national security the supreme court has ruled that way, TIME AND AGAIN.

And that makes it right somehow? The simple fact is that the Constitution guarantees US citizens the right of privacy specifically against government intrusion.

I don't have anything to hide, if the Gov't wants to listen in on me telling my girlfriend how shitty my day was let 'em, its not like their gonna convict me of being a terrorist for supporting the war.

I don't think you really understand how it works.

Firstly they don't give a crap about what you say on the phone, IF they are monitoring you it is because they had a reason to do so. No matter if they really did or not. So at this point innocent or not, you are a target.

    THATS UNSETTLING TO ME.

    Its gateway to abuse, ultimately.
