Wow. I got teary eyed...Im not joking, I really misted up!

Why? Becuase while hearing them talk the only thought running through my mind is here are two Americans debating from my fathers era.....and in my era we have George Bush vs. John Kerry.

What happened Lord? I swear we didn't eat anymore fruit!

It is hard to even picture today's mindless pundits and politicians sitting in the same room.

To get that kind of stuff today you have to watch PBS, certain shows on Sunday morning or watch the drawn out pod casts of certain Think Tanks. There's just so much media out there today, finding quality discourse isn't all that difficult.

Generally speaking, mass media has made political discourse increasingly abundant, visible and accessible, while substantially reducing its overall quality.

This is back when issues were actually debated on the basis of rational thought, when both sides of the intellectual debate respected fact, instead of ignoring it. Watching this is a sad reminder of how disconnected from reality and dumbed down it is today.
