Thread: How Was Vacation Nancy?

What has the Democrat Leadership accomplished or not accomplished ever since they came to power (Nov.06). Lets look at the facts.
1. They attempted on 40+ occasions to try and limit or affect the Iraq War - which I’m very happy to say that were winning. From non-binding resolutions to placing stipulations on future troop deployments to
not simply funding our troops in the field of operations, this Democrat run Congress has sold our troops down the drain. They (Democrat Leadership) have stabbed our troops in the back at a time when the troops are kicking Al Qaeda’s Ass in Iraq. Even working with less money, our heroic troops are still winning. No thanks to the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, John Murtha, Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Jim Webb, and others within their ranks.

2. The Democrat Leadership of the House of Representatives has failed our nation; because, they have failed to pass new FISA Legislation. At midnight on Feburary 15th, 2008, the Protect America Act expired. This act was temporary legislation signed by George Bush last August 2007. So, current operations may continue, but a new initiated operations would have to go back to the 1978 FISA act that is inadequate in dealing with today’s terror problems. Many telecom companies will not work with our government now; because, they are afraid of being sued by lawsuit happy people. Now, we are blind in many ways to any future plans of action against us; because , Nancy Pelosi didn’t bring the Senate Bill of FISA to the house floor for an up or down vote. By not doing this and giving the Senate Bill a chance to pass and send it to the president so he could sign it, Nancy Pelosi has the so-called Democrat Leadership have left our intelligence community in the dark; thereby, leaving us unprotected. This is leadership.

3. In the election of 2006, the Democrat Part promised to come to power to bring back fiscal discipline. They promised to do away with “EARMARKS”. In other word, Earmarks are basically more frivolous spending. There were almost as many Earmarks under the 110th Congress as was under the 109th Congress . That’s not fiscal discipline.

4. The Democrat Leadership has failed to do away with the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). As a result, millions of Americans are going to be hit by this Stealth Tax again if this Congress doesn’t do something about it. Here’s an idea! Get rid of the tax and live within your BUDGET. What a novel concept!

5. The 110th has failed to pass a FARM BILL. What a shock! The very backbone of America and the Democrats have failed to deliver and take care of these great Americans.


A On performance, if one could give a grade for this 110th so far, I give them a F. Instead of handling the nations business, they are more worried about running George Bush’s Foreign Affairs in Iraq. But, according to the US Constitution Article 2, Section 2, “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army, ….” So, to those radicals in the far-left, Bush is the Commander, not you. It sad that we have a Party (Democrat) that puts politics before national security. What a shame! They see political gain; instead, of giving tax relief to the real Americans that are hurting. Stop playing politics and handle the nations business.

Please give sources. That Op-Ed was coherent and easy to read. Spelling and grammar was spot on - that's a dead give away. You didn't write that.

Republicans don't earn many "brownie points" at a Liberal forum. Republicans here usually get put on probation/temp banned/banned.

Anyhow, i think it's also a problem that we have politicians out there who have only worked in public office since they got their degree and they are millionaires. Have you ever seen how much they are paid?
