McCain says he could lose over war issue

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - John McCain said Monday that to win the White House he must convince a war-weary country that U.S. policy in Iraq is succeeding. If he can't, "then I lose. I lose," the Republican said.

He quickly backed off that remark.

"Let me not put it that stark," the likely GOP nominee told reporters on his campaign bus. "Let me just put it this way: Americans will judge my candidacy first and foremost on how they believe I can lead the county both from our economy and for national security. Obviously, Iraq will play a role in their judgment of my ability to handle national security."

Well, that is sort of conceding and then he took it back, so it really doesn't count any way.

Desperation, senility, flip-flopping........does he even know what he's doing?

Will this be like Reagan's second term where good ol' Ronnie was basically not of his mind when he was sleeping through his second term?

Am I even making sense?

Actually, McCain is just demonstrating Straight Talk. He was right the first time and it was the most honest thing I've heard so far in the campaign. And, he probably will lose. But I respect him.

McCain is a tired, old war horse that has seen his day.Time to go peacefully out to pasture. You won our respect when you were young but it's over old friend.

Duuuuh... well, in case you weren't up to par there dumbass (McCain), 3/4 of Americans want out of the illegal war.
