What is really shocking is the fact that this bill actually exist. To think this Democrat congress would write such a bill that contained over 2,000 pages that would have to be reprinted a million times to be distributed with no regard to the effect that would have on the environment.

    [/quote]

huh? why is this bill going to printed a million times?

I'm glad to see the Republicans focusing on the length of the bill. It means they have fewer gripes with the actual content. Furthermore, a very large percentage of the pages consists of tables, graphs, and charts. And why would it be printed excessively? I'm sure the entire content would fit several times over on a blank CD (weight = 15 grams).

Or, they could use a blank DVD, and include an audiobook version of the bill read by Morgan Freeman. That would be awesome.

I am all for real debate with actual ideas... but the sort of theatrics that are displayed here makes me pissed off. If one of my sailors pulled that sort of crap trying to explain something to me, I'd answer by making him or her plant a tree for every wasted sheet of paper.

You sound like a pretty fun guy.

He got his point across. Sure, he could've just said "This bill is ridiculously long." but does that sound as effective to you?

Repugs aren't too big into reading. Exhibit A:

The pics in the book probably look more like graphs to him anyways.

    ROFL!!!

This is hilarious - watch the little clip in here, where they show Boehner coming in with the entire text of the spending bill, carrying it in on a dolly.

This supports my theory that H.W. Bush was probably the best Republican president of the last 50 years.
