Thread: Ron Paul speech at CPAC

Writes Ron Holland: "We are exhibiting at CPAC. Typical mostly conservative audience but Ron Paul just finished speaking and his speech and the reception from the audience was unbelieveable. With Romney pulling out and nothing left but McCain and Huckabee, the audience was really full of cheering and applause for Ron's speech.

"I was really surprised and this was the best speech I've ever heard Ron Paul give. The audience reaction was more like a Mises event or Freedomfest than a conservative conference."

Are you kidding me? Someone who wants to strengthen the borders and double up the CG is a pacifist? Paul promotes diplomacy and trade with other countries. He just doesn't want to build military bases and overthrow governments. What's so hard to understand about that?

Excellent! Thanks for the links, Defensor. I'm gonna get on my other machine and watch 'em. This is the speech I missed, I was drivin' around all day. I'll comment in a few....

If you consider overthrowing governments like (Saddam's) that gased his own people, threatened and distabilized that area of the world for decades, I'm happy George Bush did it. Ron Paul foreign involvement goes in further than trading with other countries. He doesn't consider that as a result of a unstable world, you might need to use force to protect our country's geo-political interest. He'll have our annual Defense Budgets down to the level of when Slick Willy was in office.

I am still watching the speeches.
