    Where are McCains supporters?

I've only been on this forum a few days, but I've been surprised about who everyone supports. So far I've seen mostly Paul followers, second Romney. But, there are no McCain or Huckabee supporters. I WANT TO FIGHT!!! WHERE ARE THE BAD GUYS!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

Well I consider Huckabee with the FairTax the least obnoxious of the rotating front runners on the Republican side but I wouldn't call myself a supporter.

I support McCain. We McCain supporters don't have to fight. We reason. It's why McCain is favored. It's also why Paul is not.

    Enjoy the forum.

    Enjoy the forum.
You find Paul to be unreasonable? I have found him to be the biggest gentleman of the bunch, even with the obvious slants against him.
I may agree that without more specifics that his plans may sound unreasonable, but for you to say he is not favored because he is an unreasonable person I find quite wrong.

Read my post. I said that McCain supporters reason. I never said or inferred that Ron Paul was unreasonable. Ron Paul supporters are a different matter.

Mccain does not enjoy the majority of the Republican vote. He exists as the front runner mearly by the fact that Huckabee and Paul draw votes away from Romney. Were these two out of the race you would see McCain not in the lead and not getting the majority on Super Tuesday. But this is the reality in all elections. there have been many candidates who have draw support from others and affected the outcome of the race.

Here in PH there are are not so many conservative posters. For every one McCain poster there are three Romney posters no huckabee posters and 11 Paul posters. this forum does not reflect the voting populous of the USA.

I am sorry, you are correct. But, does your post then infer that it is the supporters that get a candidate elected and not the policies or plans that the candidate puts forth? I think that even McCain would like to believe that he is favored because of what he has had to say, not what his supporters have done?

I would consider voting for Huckabee if he got the nod. He is the only one I would consider. I just don't believe he will get the nod.

I like both of those cats, for different reasons.

First of all, Mike's a bass player, and I "can't" dislike that -

And then, I respect McCain's military credentials.

However, in "context", I'd probably rank both of those guys as "not my favorites".

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Huckster, during this campaign. I "thought", he was gonna be this religious wing-nut, but he turned out to be a very smart man, and very reasonable, and you know, he's got a lot of good qualities. I especially like the way, that he takes time and patience, to explain things to the American People. That, is great. I like that a lot! And, you know, Mike made it clear to me during the campaign, that he understood the difference between his personal beliefs, and the way he was gonna cast his vote, and I mean, that is all I can ask for, in a religious-type candidate. And frankly, what I've discovered here, is that the religious types like Huck, actually understand that concept better than the moralist types like Bushie. (well, Bushie's "both", kinda, but "primarily", he's a moralist).

McCain - I really don't know much about his detail voting record, there's a thread going around right now about that, that I haven't read yet. But, I respect the guy for his military background. I "understand" that mind-set, and it's a good one. An honorable one, respectful, you know - that brings a lot of good things to the table, in my eyes.

The guy I love "most of all" in this campaign, is Ron Paul. But, unfortunately, it seems he won't make it through the primaries. Of the top 4, I'm most impressed with Obama. He's the only one of those 4, that I truly believe, will make an effort to tell me the truth. And even though he doesn't "emphasize" the contract like Ron Paul does, I "think", he's aware of it and he'll adhere to it. I mean, his medical thing there, is a perfect example, right? As near as I can tell, his doesn't cross the threshold of un-Constitutionality, whereas, Hillary's definitely, most definitely, does. (It's "mandatory", right? I mean, last time that happened, FDR actually had to stack the Supreme Court to push that one through, remember? Cardozo decision? Hmm..... which raises an interesting question - how come no one's told Hillary yet, that her healthcare plan, is un-Constiutional?
