I know Ron Paul deeply opposes it.

Seriously though, I am not carrying around a radio transmitter so the government can track my every move. If this doesn't scare people they are idiots.

I dont mind carrying ID that actually does what ID is supposed to
do, as long as I can put it on the table and walk out the door if I
choose. Just dont try to "chip" my ass.

My problem is that it's supposedly for National Security purposes. Yet, not one person, Chertoff included can explain how this ID makes us any safer.

If anybody knows HOW a National ID, putting all Americans on "The Grid" makes us ANY safer, please explain...

Security, how did that make anyone safer?

The RID has a radio chip in it which will allow law enforcement, not to mention hackers, to be able to get your information without you even knowing it just by being in close proximity. This is a violation of the 4th Amendment. Next it will become probable cause to detain and question you if you don't have ze paperz.

How long before there is a grid of scanners everywhere which tracks your every move? Wake up people, wake up, or else one day you are going to wake up and go WTF, how did we get here? But in reality it will be your own fault because you didn't fight when you had the chance. Just like the Jews didn't fight as they were herded in ghettos and then into gas chambers. They thought the people warning them to fight were also "crackpots."
