    homosexual marriage

i do not understand the big deal behind wheather or not homosexual couples can marry. seems to me no human has the right to tell another human who they can or cannot love.

simply there should be no reason why a homosexual couple should be barred from marriage. to do so would be unethical. if you do not want to be told you cant get married--you should not tell anyone they cant get married.

this issue, like the rest of what we are fed through the media, is intended to drive yet another wedge between the american public. we the people need to end this fight. we need to unite and stop this petty nonsense. the more we debate this stuff and not keep washington honest, the thicker the wool gets.

    Re: homosexual marriage

The government has no right to define or sanction marriage in any way. Two (or three or four or five) consenting adults marrying each other harms me in no way.

Well i think you have it all wraped up. I think homosexual marriage should be legal, even if i don't quite agree with it. As it goes, "I detest what you write, but I would die to give you the freedom to write it." I find homosexuality strange and very uncomforting, but I believe it is their right to marry if thy wish.

I could care less. I don't think the government has the right to limit civil liberties. Isn't there tax benefits for married couples?

If you "could care less" that means you care! Sorry, when people get that saying wrong it's just one of my pet peeves.

In seriousness there shouldn't be any marriage benefit under tax law. That is the government pushing a social agenda which they have no business doing.

    Re: homosexual marriage

I couldn't care less if gay people marry. I don't care if they marry or not. I am unaffected by that social contract. I care and find it annoying that it turned into a huge ordeal and received so much attention.

As for the tax benefits. Marriage has many benefits.
