    the electoral college

how can a system that wouuld allow the popular loser to be the mathmatical winner be constitutional?

the electoral college needs to be disbanded. if this is done then, and only then, will it be true that every vote counts.

I fucking hate the electoral college. If you're afraid the politicians won't come out to Wyoming campaigning because you have 12 people in your state, too bad, why should your vote count more than my California vote.

This whole thing started when they didn't want potential new states in the union forming thier own country like where...say for example... Ohio didn't want New York and Philidelphia telling them what to do if they joined the union, thus the senate and the electoral college. Well......it's not 1700something anymore, and the states aren't going anywhere.

    Dissban the electoral college.

the only way we can have less government is if we solve problems. we need new government.
“Every generation needs a new revolution.”—Thomas Jefferson

too long our government has been allowed to opperate unchecked by the people. if we do not act soon, we will no longer have a middle class. we no longer have the freedoms we take for granted. we will be living under a regime that mimics the ones we are working to irraticate now.

a free market system is a wonderful idea. capitalism without ethics will destroy humanity.

the only type of candidate that can accomplish this is one that has no political experience, only the backing of the people.

If the EC is done away with, then Tx, Ny, Fl, & Ca would decide the presidency. No thanks.

The electoral college generally amplifies the mandate and prevents true senatorial deadlock. But if you want to amplify polarization by several orders of magnitude you are free to attempt to do so.

no. if the electoral college goes away the candidate with the most votes wins.

the theory being, the voting public considers the candidates and picks who they deem the best individually. with the EC a candidate gets 100% of a sates vote reguardles of the pupulare tallies. This is why we have swing states, these are the states that can make you a mathmatical winner. regardless of popular tally.
