Are you confident in your candidate or are you choosing the least bad option?

I'm just curious how many people feel strongly about whom they are leading towards. And how many people are simply choosing the one that they feel are not quite as bad as the others.

I'm confident that McCain will go the distance, however I'd support whoever the GOP nominates.

Yes, I'm behind Ron Paul 100%, but of course he'll never be the Republican candidate for president, so I have some looking to do at the non-Dem/Rep candidates. If Ron Paul steps out of the Republican party running and goes Independent, then I will vote for him come November.

I had to pinch my nose against McCain's hawkishness, but otherwise I like him. He's a supporter of balanced budgets, free trade, open borders, takes global warming seriously and opposes torture. All those are key features of my preferred candidate. I would support a democrat but they're all too protectionist for my taste and their healthcare plans will probably not work. Not to mention the fact that I firmly believe social security needs to be phased out and a dem president won't do that.

Not exactly true. Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter were pretty conservative. Of course, I find them both as repugnant as I did Dubya Bush seeing as I'm not really conservative.

I reached acceptance with all candidates on both sides except for Edwards.

    My catagory isn't offered.
So, this is my plan, I will defenitely vote for Obama in the primary, if the nominees for the GE are Obama & McCain, I'll set out the GE. If the candidates are Hillary & McCain, I will vote for McCain. I'm not a McCain supporter, but I truly believe that if the Clintons are given another chance in the WH, at the American people & the constitution, we will not recognize this country. Some say i hate the clintons, I don't, but they scare the beejesus out of me, I mean that in all sincerity.

It is true, Hunter & Tancredo are not running, so, there aren't any conservatives running.
