Thread: Iran says US video was fabricated

Iran's Revolutionary Guards say the US navy fabricated evidence that a convoy of its ships was harassed by Iranian speedboats in Gulf waters on Sunday.


The US has released grainy footage, apparently showing small boats speeding near the American warships.
In an audio recording, an Iranian radio operator appears to say "I am coming at you; you will explode".

of course Iran would say the video was fabricated. just like our suspicion about their nukes.

The Navy response on this has given the US a needed PR victory in that region. In another thread Bourne pointed out the Navy was ready and prepared to defend itself, this was not another Cole incident in the making. The Iranians have clearly come off as provocateurs in this. This makes Amadinewhatthehell look bad even though those weren't his people but the Imams. As a Navy vet I'm not just a little proud of those guys. Go Navy!

"This is not -- this is a provocative act, not a smart thing to do, and they're going to have to take responsibility for the consequences if they do it again," Hadley said.

Ever see footage of the little boat that blew a hole in the USS Cole & killed 19 US sailors. There was only one of those small boats.
I don't understand why you're so anxious to take the word of an avowed jihadist over the USs word.

Of course they are going to say the photos are fabricated. When you get caught and can't reasonably explain why you did what you did, the obvious solution is to deny everything.

By the way, the radar guided Phalanx multi barrel 20mm defense system mount on each ship could have directed sufficient fire to each of the fast boats and at a distance which would have rendered them harmless to the warships.

I am not taking anyones word for anything! There are two sides to every story, I try to look at both sides.

I really have a credibility problem with this administration when it comes to war, hell anything.

I will not say Iran is correct, I don't know.
