Thread: How is Obama Going to Say He's Done Something?

I've heard some people say Huckabee will be easy for the Dems to take. But can't Republicans make the case Obama is not ready for primetime, and will do far to much learning on the job? I personally didn't consider Obama seriously, and I don't understand what he's done to allow him to be president.

I hoped it would be Edwards, and I thought Hillary was going to win; and now that it looks like Obama, I'm wondering if he will be an easy kill for the Republicans.

The voting so far indicates people don't care. If you're pissed at the GOP, like I am, and if you are pissed at the Dems because they were the lower rung on the ladder to which the current GOP gravitated, then anybody but the same party or "establishment" appears to present a chance for improvement.

It's over Feb. 5 that's when New York, California and a whole mess of other states vote. Obama is already predicted to win South Carolina because of all the African-American voters there...

So pretty much if Obama wins Nevada (which I think is in late January) it's over.

I think counting on black people, or any race of peopel, to vote in great numbers, and for the same person, is risky. I don't know why people still think it's a good way to predict. Iowa has like 3 black people and they are more Hootie than Snoop Dog - and nobody there cared about Obamas race... butinstead of learning from this they boldly predict millions of black people having a one trakc mind.

Half of African Americans are women - why would they take Obama over Clinton if the "vote for the person with the most shared genes as you" model is going to be the basis of their decision?

If I were an American Democrat I'd vote Obama. He's personable, professional, educated and looks Presidential. That's really more imporant for the position than actual skill. Reagan and Bill Clinton both proved that. Kennedy too. They all were far far better at being politicians than economists, generals, negotiators or peacemakers. And they are all still respected by their respective parties.

he targeted young people, and Oprah's viewers who are white middle-aged housewives who usually have the say-so in the household.

Last 5 presidents have all been Goveners so Huckabee has the upper hand
