    Adult Entertainment Tax. OUTRAGE!!!!

I don't have a link, but you guys are resourceful and can work "the google"

I was just sent a letter in the mail

    "To the General Manager"

On July 17, 2007 the Governor signed into law Texas House Bil 1751. The law imposes a $5.00 entry fee on every customer for every visit to Adult Entertainment clubs to be sent to the state. This fee take effect On January 1, 2008."

I am a restaurant so this doesn't apply to my place at all. (some blooming idiot sent this letter to the wrong person)

But I am still pissed off. What is this bogus? I have never been in a strip club or anything like that but this looks like our beloved Government imposed a tax for the complete and total heck of it!!! I hold no special love for these clubs, but I respect their right to operate without unfair taxation.

What's next? A entry tax on Walmart, or Restaurants, or maybe Doctors?

    Your thoughts?

Write an article in the local papers, or an ad, getting people to boycott. I love being married, my wife keeps me out of such places.

It's outrageous. What is this country coming to? Ron Paul would never have allowed this to happen. I plan to boycott my local gentlemen's club and resort to renting porn videos instead.

    (Sarcasm intended)

I see the sarcasm, lol, but are you seriously upset about the tax?? or was that sarcasm too?

Ive never been to a strip cub, so it doesn't and wont affect me, but I still don't like this tax.

Sin taxes are of no concern to me. I live in Wiscosnin where the tax on a pack of cigarettes went up $1.00 on January 1st. I don't smoke so why should I care?

If someone wants to drink, smoke hang out in strip clubs or engage in some other unhealthy lifestyle I'm not too concerned about such activities being overly taxed.

It's a tax to stop people from being sinful. Not to imply the stereotype but sounds like a Christian Conservative to me
