Thread: Polish Missile Shield

Do they even need this now after the news today about Iran? Doesn't this mean all the talk of this defending Eastern Europe from Iran is just a sales pitch for a defensive weapon that isn't needed pointed at a country that isn't even a threat?

Or maybe it was meant to be an offensive weapon to begin with? I'm starting to wonder if the Bush Administration is just using defending ourselves as an excuse to lay the groundverk for world domination. Well, to be honest I suspected that a long time ago but still....all the pieces seem to be falling into place.

Yes! Bush plans to take over the entire world in the next 12 months. Then when he leaves office he will take the whole world with him and hide it behind his garden shed so no one can take it away from him....

it's hard to take seriously anyone who goes on about world domination. But if you are right we can always call on these guys...

Hey we still need to support the military industrial complex at all cost and debt. That will unfortunately never end. Well maybe a well placed vote may help!

Anyway, this was dated Dec. 4, 2007:

Dr Sanders noted that all US missile defense equipment 'has been built with the direct intention of being interoperable with NATO and European systems'. In an effort to defuse Russian opposition to the planned installations, the US had proposed joint monitoring with Russia of Iran's nuclear capability and had invited Russian officials to visit US missile sites. 'I hope one day they will accept', she said, noting that they had been observers at one US anti-missile test flight. She said that Iran's missile capacity might reach all of Europe and the United States by 2015 and that, although threats were difficult to predict, 'the regrets of underestimating risks are greater than the regrets of overestimating them.' Construction of the missile sites in Europe should go ahead, even if the equipment is activated later, she said.

In other words, build it anyway. You never know when you'll want to blow up your neighbors. Could come in handy, I guess. I don't see the Russians doing this. If they did it wouldn't it be considered a threat to all of Eastern Europe and the Balkans?
