    Taking Care of the Homeless

I think we all agree Capitalism creates the poor, and that we will always have the poor and the homeless on our streets of America. Since this is the case, it becomes a health issue when these people have no bathroom available for them to use on the streets, so they duck behind cars, houses, trees, and take care of business. America needs to install public restrooms in citys every eight blocks in business and commercial areas. Here is a site that has self-cleaning restrooms of the design I would prefer to see put into use.

I don't agree that Capitalism creates poor people. In nearly every communist or socialist country, poverty levels are much higher than they are here. I actually think it is the opposite, and that is Capitalism brings many people out of poverty.

The reasons for poverty are many; Capitalism is not one of those reasons, IMO.

I do agree that public restrooms should be implemented every eight blocks or so.

Capitalism doesn't "create poverty". It creates equal oppurtunity for either wealth or poverty.

And how do you suggest this is paid for? You don't want to create a shitter tax do you? And why do you suppose those homeless that aren't using all the restrooms available to them now, such as service stations and fast food joints, will use these other public restrooms?
The homeless have opportunities to use restrooms and to be not homeless if they choose.(I know there are exceptions). I don't want to give up any more money for them.

We agree to disagree on capitalism creates poverty, but under capitalism you will always have poor people needing a place on the streets to take a dump.

Are you focused now? And I say for health concerns American commerical & business districts of cities should provide public restrooms every eight blocks, or just about every place a city bus stops for passengers.

I think it would also make our nation more friendly place for foreign vacationers.

These self-cleaning systems seem the way to go.

Ew. That has got to be one of the worst ideas I have ever heard. Indians shit and piss outside all the time. And we are talking about the homeless. It's unlikely they would walk the 8 blocks to the shitter since they won't even walk inside an existing bathroom now. But I'm sure a man that is in some need for privacy when he pulls a girl off the street to rape her or your local drug dealer or heroin user would love them. But, if one homeless man is willing to piss there, I'm sure he might not want to ever leave and making it his new home.

And I see more dog shit than human shit. Maybe the dogs should get there own private shitter. At least they can't help that they are forced to shit outside.

Socialism creates poverty too. It tends to create massive poverty.

We can let business and commerical concerns pay for it, since that is where the health problem exists. And while we are installing these public restrooms next to public bus stops, we could have a lighted & roofed area over a large bench for seating areas for the seniors and children who are using public transportation. Once these are installed, they should need minimal cleanup by sanitation workers.
