I just mentioned this in a thread about terrorism.
someone suggested we just go around and dodge terrorist bombings.
I disagree. apathy kills.

Good then people are talking. The video is very powerful...

I dunno who said that but I like it.

Same with my signature. It has more to do with neutrality but it is almost the same as doing nothing.

it goes like this.
red alert = severe risk = reactive
orange alert = high risk = defined
yellow alert = elevated = proactive
blue alert = guarded = managed
green = low = optimized.

many people are under the impression we are at green and llalalalalla.
first responders are at orange which means they have defined terms of imminent attacks.
when we are reactive there are dead people. only one step away.
the US is on yellow alert which means we need to be proactive... but too many are apathetic, lazy, in denial... and this will cause dead people.

Serious question. Are you sure your looking at apathy? Could be, that people are "wary" because of all the "orange" alerts to the lead up of the 2004 election. Those alerts and the swiftboating of Kerry lead to the election of GWB. I am highly suspicious of any thing this administration does becuase I don't believe they do anything for the good of the people without a direct political payback.

the alert system is from DHS... not the White House exactly.
but maybe that's where the confusion is... all those Bush haters are apathetic... which plays into the enemy's hands.

And why should I believe DHS isn't being manipulated by the WH in the lead up to the 08 election after their pathetic manipulation in the lead up to the 04 election? Now you're just spewing opinionated crap. Believe whatever they tell you.

because most of the DHS hates the Bush admin too.
the DHS isn't really political, they are reactionary and military. different mindset.
