that's such crap. the fishing industry in that area could use a break from commercial fishing anyway. the government subsidizes agriculture anyway, so the fishermen wouldn't lose a days pay.
the environment dried up wouldn't kill off a species either. they could repopulate just like the freeking aligators did.
the army corp also were the ones who put canals in the Everglades and fucked up that environmental natural sponge.

some company needs to start desalinazation real soon. they have it in desert countries and it's cheap and easy to produce water.

No argument here. I'd rather be able to take a shower than let the endagered mussles live.

Nah. The South needs a dozen hurricanes in a season to come ashore and fill up those water tables.

Wait!....didn't Al Gore say that Global Warming will lead to more hurrycanes? Y'all should write Al and ask what's taking them so long to get there.

We've been hoping for one all season. We would need roughly 30 inches of rain at once to break the drought. A hurricane would go a long way towards that goal.

No. As far as China goes, North America wouldn't see that water anyway. Colorado is snagging Nebraska's water, though, in a way. And if it worked.

But hey, the more snow Colorado gets, the better it is here for my showers in Los Angeles. Who cares about Nebraska, anyway?

I dont think so. The amount of moisture Georgia resieves from the midwest is insignifigant compared to the Gulf of Mexico. There has been high pressure fronts sitting on top of the southeast for more than 5 years now. These pressure areas are pushing the moisture away to the south and west of us. Hence the flooding in Texas and the path of Hurricanes over the last few years. Note how the northbound hurricanes tend to skirt the gulf, move northward through the atlantic, and make landfall well nother of us. It's just bad luck is all.
