    you've got to be kidding me. Paul and Bloomberg together couldn't beat an Edwards/Huckabee mixed ticket. bloomberg has all less ability to inspire than a mushroom. Paul's Libertarian platform offends people in the center and at the extremes.

    I'm in Texas, where yesterday, the ballot was full of constitutional spending propositions. Our legislature is still Republican-controlled.... at least that's what they say.

    Anyway, all state spending passed easily. In Harris County (Houston), some local spending propositions passed, and some did not. The margins were typically like 0.45%. These were real nail-biters.

    Texas claims to be a conservative state, but I think we know where the conservatives in Texas live.

    I am not happy that my conservative legislature passed all these spending bills so they could be offered as constitutional propositions.
