Thread: A Mistake Or Purposely Left Off

New dollar coins do not have "In God We Trust" inscribed. The mint that minted them says it was a mistake. A trial balloon, maybe?

Probably not a mistake. I think they wanted to see if they could get away with it, or what people's reaction would be.

No mistake. I heard a long time ago they weren't going to put that on coins anymore.

Yeah, I think so too. 50 million of these were minted before quality control noticed?

Would leaving off "god" be such a bad thing necessarily?

I had heard that they wanted to leave it off but didn't know they had decided.

People must be complaining so they had to make up some lie that it was a mistake.

Well were about to have a completely new currency, until you can get Mexico and Canada to agree with "In God We Trust" on their currency, we will not have it on the "New" currency. Plane as the nose on your face!

They're trying to take God OUT of EVERYTHING.

I have another example of that...don't know if I should start a new thread or put it in this one. It has to do with the military.
