This would be a very good thing but its hard to believe what the government says about Iraq. Will this be another "mission accomplished"?

After all of the bad policy that has been pushed on Iraq, it is a little difficult to believe that this may actually be working out. I do believe that the surge was finally the right thing to do though. If these tactics were used right after the fall of Saddam, we could have saved thousands of lives and billions of $.

That's true, but that kind of mentality is no more useful than saying that any involvement in Iraq now is illegitimate because we never found weapons of mass destruction.
That may be true, but it is no longer relevant. The only thing that should concern us at this point where we go from here.
I say that since we have finally done the right thing, let's see if this actually keeps working and accomplishes the one reasonable goal we have left with Iraq.

I'm not especially thrilled with this but I agree with you. There should be some type of accountablity forthcoming however once we have a way out that does not sacrifice those Iraqi's who aided us in this endeavor. Without that accounting then what were the sacrifices for? As a democrat and liberal one at that, I can't tell you how please i would be if this in fact is true.

What kind of accounting do you mean? I'm not sure I quite understand what you're saying.
