More proof that Fox ran fake video of Palin's book-tour "crowds"

Earlier, Think Progress caught Fox News showing what was clearly footage of a 2008 Sarah Palin campaign rally but claiming that it was video of "huge crowds" attending Palin's book tour.

But in case the McCain-Palin campaign signs and tee-shirts clearly visible in the footage Fox aired aren't enough to make Fox apologize, here's further proof.

Here's a screenshot of the footage of one of the rallies that Fox's Gregg Jarrett showed today and claimed was "just coming into us" as part of the book tour:

And here's a photo posted last year by Florida TV station CFNews 13 of a November 1, 2008, Palin rally in Ocala, Florida:

And here's a video of that same rally that TPM posted way back in 2008 -- when it actually happened.

And kmiller, this is not about Palin as much as it is about FOX's lies.

Next thing you know, they will use images from the Harry Potter crowds and claim that the hope for the GOP is in its yuth.

I'm sure it's just an honest mistake and once Jon Stewart points it out to them, they will issue a retraction.

Well of course, they didn't realize they had made the mistake, prolly some crazy liberal snuck in and changed the labels on their video canisters.

hmm, so first hannity and now this. two instances in what, a week? at what point does this become a serious issue, and not just a couple "mistakes"?

if fox isn't careful, they're going to become the televised version of the onion.

Funny, Amazon doesn't list Palin's book as one of Oprah's favorites.

this has nothing to do with palin. she just happened to be in the doctored video. but it could have been big bird. the phony fox footage is the issue.
