Thread: We Already Have Universal Health Care

What the Democrats are talking about is absolute control over the healthcare industry by the federal bureaucracy. There are free clinics all over the country where impoverished Americans can receive free health care. All the government is offering is to remove the efficient private health care industry the majority of Americans use.

The U.S. government already funds OVER 50% of healthcare in our country.

It's absolutely absurd.
I had to get an ultrasound on a thrombose blood vessel a few months ago (took ten minutes and they didn't do anything else) and it cost me at least $1500. The added overhead from being mandated to care for those who can't pay is what drives the cost up so much for those who DO pay.
It's not that I think that we shouldn't help others, but talk of people without insurance not getting decent care is ridiculous.
