Thread: YouTube Presidential Debates

I just recieved a press release from Dick Armey at FreedomWorks sharing that they too were getting in on the YouTube Presidential Debates. If you check out the website, Dick Armey even has his own "youtube flick."

Do you guys think that this is a good concept? Having these outside groups rallying their membership to challenge the candidates to pressing questions?

I'm a bit torn on this either way, any thoughts? Are these debates even effective?

I think it could be a good thing to get certain kinds of questions answered. But I wouldn't want this kind of method for the Presidential debates.

It's something that will take some time to get used to. I'm still used to the old-school days of the typical TV debates. I think that this YouTube concept could be interesting if there was the option for follow-up questions, because candidates are really good at talking their way around a question.

As for the Armey thing in general, I think its a good idea, it is funny as you indicated, but its definitely something you dont see every day, thats for sure.
