4* General Wesley Clark has a petition to get Limbaugh off Armed Forces Radio

Republicans in congress have been spending time writing resolutions to condemn moveon.org and commend Rush Limbaugh... (you didn't know that did ya?) Yup, this Republican from Georgia thinks Rush is great!

Rush has called the troops who speak out against the war phony soldiers and he compared a soldier who was injured by a suicide bomb to a suicide bomber.

Former 2004 Democratic presidential candidate and former four-star general Wesley Clark has started a petition to remove Limbaugh's show from Armed Forces Radio. In his blog on the Huffington Post, General Clark called on readers to join him in telling "Congress to act swiftly to hold Rush Limbaugh accountable."

Tax dollars are used to fund Armed Forces Radio, and that money is not intended for radio show hosts to spout insults at our soldiers. These "phony soldiers" have simply exercised their right to free speech, as Rush Limbaugh does on a daily basis. Simply because a majority of our troops who return from Iraq disagree with Rush on Bush's failed war policy does not give him the right to dishonor their service.
Unlike Rush Limbaugh, members of Congress cannot casually brush off the concerns of citizens. Since Rush won't listen to us, we're going directly to Congress, who can prevent him from disrespecting and censoring the voices of our soldiers.

So Four Star General Wesley Clark is asking us to send a message to congress to get him taken off FEDERALLY FUNDED with OUR TAX DOLLARS Armed Forces Radio.

If you support Limbaugh, by all means, don't send the email to congress. Your tax dollars are going where you want them to go.

On the other hand, if you cringe from his lies and smears on the troops, and rants of hate, then by all means, send the message to congress by clicking the link.

So you think a Democratic politician should be allowed to remove a conservative talk show host from Armed Forces Radio?

Well, maybe. I just responded to the selection that is closest to how I feel.

I guess it bugs me that a private enterprise that sells right-wing propaganda is making money of a government funded medium.

Sometimes I'm concerned that our military is becoming an institution that is increasingly isolated and ideologically driven.

I think congress should stop spending my tax dollars on a radio show blow hard who calls the troops who speak out "phony soldiers" and compares a soldier who was wounded by a suicide bomb to a suicide bomber.

I just think it's WRONG to use our tax dollars to subsidize the republican party and Rush Limbaugh on AFRTS.

He is on one hour of the three he broadcasts....and the soldiers requested he be put on.

They are big boys....if they don't like him...they can turn it off. Isn't that the argument the left uses for publicly funded smut in the name of art?

    So what would you like?

Elimination of all funding for the arts and elimination of Rush from AFR?

Or continued funding of the arts to the tune of millions...and allowing Rush's show to be played on AFR at the soldiers request?
