Democrats Get Political on Troop Withdraws

Several Senate Republicans proposed drawing down U.S. forces in Iraq over 15 months, but Democrats rejected the plan because it stretched to after the November 2008 election, both sides said on Friday.
Of course, this is all beside the point anyway. The Generals and the Commander in Chief will decide when to bring the troops home, but still, the fact that Democrats are more concerned with the election cycle than they are with the war itself is quite telling.

Hmm, if this was a case of just dems playing to the election I'd agree but both sides of this unAmerican table do it as well so it doesn't surprise me. Last time I checked politics itself was corrupt, and that includes everyone in it.

I agree - but with both sides taking the moral high ground, its important to call bullshit when we see it. But you are right - it is both sides.
