Tells Denver trade conference EU is 'model we need to follow quickly'

Mayor Evaristo Lenin Perez of Ciudad Acuna, MexicoAt a Denver conference on intercontinental trade corridors, a Mexican mayor called for a swift move toward a European Union-style merger of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Referring to Europe, Evaristo Lenin Perez of Ciudad Acuna – a sister city of Del Rio, Texas – told the Great Plains International Conference, "It's a model we need to follow quickly."
Perez later told WND, "If only people know the benefits of opening the borders and working together, improving the quality of life for all, then no one would be opposed to the idea of a North American Union."
A spokesman for organizers of the conference – which began Wednesday and concludes today – rejected the Mexican mayor's view.

Comment: The north American union is based on a Soviet Structure.... but we are told the communists lost? Really?

Former President of the Soviet Union Gorbachev on March 23, 2000, in London, referred to the European Union (EU) as "the New European Soviet.” If he refers to the EU in that way, it only stands to reason that he would refer to the North American Union (NAU) as the “New American Soviet,” since the NAU is modeled on the EU. Gorbachev also said in his speech to the Soviet Central Committee on November 2, 1987, published by Novosti Press Agency Publishing House:

“We are moving toward a new world, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.”

they don't want to be Americans, the NAU isn't the USA. Its a creation of the powers that made the EU, and the UN and who own our banking system.

They want a soviet, not a USA.

The Mexicans need not worry, they will have there NAU, but not until the Dream Act passes.

What exactly does the word "soviet" mean? Like the USSR was the union of soviet socialist republics.... what does "soviet" mean without the "socialist" bit after it? I mean, would using the word "republic" mean "communist" as well? Perhaps its a more benign word than we think?
For your interest, "soviet" refers to the legislative process by which agreement between the independent oblasts were made into law binding upon the federated union.
