So far, so good.
Oh, NO! You blew it! Those are services the people are perfectly able to provide for themselves. Amazingly, neither education nor healthcare are obligations of the US government under the US Constitution.
That is, it's also covered by the Constitution, but I just overlooked it because it's a minor issue. In fact, it's part of public safety (police).
Nope.
Only remotely, as part of the fraud prevention considerations of a government that is supposed to protect people from criminals. Courts/police.
Courts.
Nope. Propaganda is not a proper function of government.
Why? Private companies can do it fine. That was a mistake in the Constitution, one of the few, but a mistake based on the cultural biases of the time.
Nope, not a function of government. You want a pension, go out and earn one. Want a retirement savings fund? Go out and earn money, and put it in the bank. Want children? Pay for them.
Nope, not my job to provide educational services for strangers, hence it's not my government's job, either.
Libraries need to find their friend Phil A.N. Thrope, and school boys need to pay for their own education.
A charitable cause properly funded by charity. It could be aided by a tax on criminals, though.
Too much.
Dream on. If you haven't noticed, but we Yanks have, we weren't getting those services, but getting the high taxes, before we invaded Iraq.
The Constitution permitted slavery because it was an institution allowed under British rule at the time of the revolution and attempts to eliminate slavery under the Constitution would have ruined any effort to forge a single nation. Thus a compromise was achieved.
Women were not denied the vote by the Constitution. The Constitution left voter eligibility criteria up to the states.
When I was growing up, I didn't smoke. All my friends started playing industrial revolution and smoked like chimneys. I wasn't quite as hip as they were, any more.
Then they discovered reefer, and since I didn't smoke cigarettes I decided it didn't make any sense to smoke that crap, either. So I lost a few more "friends".
I don't hack up black tar phlegm every morning. Some of them do.
Just because the rest of the world has an addiction to socialism doesn't mean it's good for them.
