Because the Media is made up of large businesses. They need to make money, the easiest way to do this is to cater to their audience.

I asked about the other footage because it does seem in the footage of fall trees that there are quite a few people involved. Also, I have doubts that Hannity directed his staff to use footage from an older demonstration to try to cover something up. If you look at the sheer amount of time that Hannity has on the air, both with Fox News and his radio show, I think it is reasonable to assume that Hannity himself can not possibly micro-manage everything in his shows, rather that he himself would be managed by producers and staff.
