Do you know of any group that is made up of millions of people, or even 50 for that matter, to be all good? None of them ever stray? If you know of such a group made up of "us ordinary" people that is all seeing & all good, please tell me about them. Thanks.

Here are his phone messages. He sounds like he's an Evangelical invoking the Scripture, to me. Who else says they are a brother and sister in Christ but a nutty fundamentalist extremist religious kook?

FIRST MESSAGE: "Hello, this is Doug Lamborn calling for either Jonathan or Anna. Something very serious has happened. There was a letter to the editor that you both put in your names to the editor of the Woodmen Edition and there is something that is blatantly false in that letter.
"I would like to get together with you and show this to you and appeal to you as a brother and sister in Christ. You didn't give me that opportunity but I am happy to overlook that and deal with you on that level because I think that is the right thing to do and show you where you made a blatant, wrong statement.
"Now there are consequences to this kind of thing, but I would like to work with you in a way that is best for everyone here concerned. So please call me at your earliest convenience. It is now 2:40 (p.m.) on Saturday afternoon.

SECOND MESSAGE: "Hello, this is Doug Lamborn again, I'm finishing up my message from a moment ago. I got cut off. It is critical that you get back to me as soon as possible on this because I'll be going back to Washington here in a few days and I have to make sure that this is resolved one way or another. And like I said I'd rather resolve this on a Scriptural level but if you are unwilling to do that I will be forced to take other steps, which I would rather not have to do. So please call me. This is essential. Call me by tonight, Saturday night and we can get together sometime Sunday afternoon."

In August 2007, two constituents of Lamborn, Jonathan and Anna Bartha, had a letter published in a community newspaper criticizing Lamborn for taking money from a gambling equipment manufacturer and for voting against increased Federal penalties for dog fighting [7]. Perhaps if that's what he meant, he would have said it. But he made vague threats of taking other steps which leaves every possibility of a threat open.

The business of an evangelical is to scare and intimidate people into beliving exactly the way they do. I have a great deal of experience with evangelicals...I live in Texas you know.
They want to force people to obey god at any cost and they do it with threats. Hell religion is based on obedience and threats. Evangelicals are the extreme of that practice.
Thinking evangelicals are sweet and nice is just nonsensical, they are exactly opposite as a group.
Thre is no heaven if there is no hell...fire and brimstone...excommunication...eternal damnation...ostrisizing. I went to a rally at huntsville with Amnesty International. When we got there, there were all these evangelicals carryibg signs saying "kill the bastard!" There is no compassion in the heart of an evangelical...thers passion for hate prejudice and even murder, but no compassion.

And it's all stupid anyway isn't it?! I mean in this day and age, christianity has been wrong and had to modify their truth so much that they cannot be trusted as having any real truth about a god. Ask an evangelical if they talk to god and I will show you a liar. They all say they do and we all know they don't. They attribute anything to be a miriacle but there is never any proof. Evangelicals are no more than liars.
Take prayer. For one thing if their god is everywhere why build temples? If he is all knowing why trouble him with prayer. The prayer thing is just to intimmidate others to force submission and obedience. They want the most public prayer they can have for what...intimmidation.
I don't buy all this holy stuff. It usually is just holier than thou crap! They say they want to save your soul but the truth is they want your money and your obedience, they don't give a damn about you.

There are about 40 million in the United States alone. And how many do you know so that you can proclaim your grand generalization?

I consider myself an evangelical (sort of a Taoist too, but I'm close). Please review my posts in the religion area. You won't find a scrap of such an attitude.

Do you deny that they preach that if you don't accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Saviour then you won't go to heaven? Do you deny that they believe only their religious followers go to heaven?

You must be awfully torn to be a taoist and evangelical all at the same time!
