I Didn't Think That Manhattan Had So Many Farmers

I am from the west and swore about 20 years ago that I would never travel anywhere east of Colorado. Maybe I need to rethink that. I would love to meet all the farmers in Manhattan. I could find out how they do it, you know, farm.

The department of agriculture seems to think that there are farmers there that need a hand out. So they are helping those Manhattan farmers with our tax dollars.

I wonder what they are growing there, it's obvious that what ever it is, the pollen is affecting those in DC.

They live in New York and own farms elsewhere.

Is there something wrong with that? Does every farm owner have to actually live on it?

Here are just a few from a random click on the map:

Didn't see anything on Manhattan (New York County) in your link. Even on a search it only brought two Representatives with less than $3000 for agricultural business pass-throughs.

Have you ever been east of Colorado? ...or just not in the last 20 years?

Not in the last 20 years. I have been to the South Eastern states when I was young.

I would agree that they may own an intrest in a farm. Most farmers are farmers who live on a farm. eieio

Your link does not say that they are farmers. It is the addresses of folks that got the subsidy check. As most farms these days are large corporate farms. This should not suprise anyone at all.

No offense. But, I have to say I do not really get the point of this thread at all.

That is my point, why should someone who has a 401k or some type of investment get a subsidy check that is there to help farmers.

Wait, are you telling me that some one in New York owns a farm in Kansas? I am fucking outraged. How dare they! You must not own property that you do not live on! I am writing Pelosi right now, that bitch.
