Good find. But no surprise there. I think he knew about 9/11 before 9/11. Get ready for the Bushies to make up an excuse about that clip. And just think - Clinton lies about a BJ and gets impeached, and then Bush lies about everything and nothing happens! Go figure!

Maybe we've been desensitized. I know that when a politician tells the truth, all of a sudden I start doubting whether it is even the truth to begin with.

wow. just wow. I had read that in John Dean's book, "worse than watergate," but seeing it on film is amazing.

We already know that he was in a classroom and did NOT witness the first plane crash.

He DID NOT know pre-9/11 and he was NOT involved. Open your eyes people... if you want to retain your "Bush is an idiot, he's a moron!" spiel, then you can NOT say that he is responsible for the worst attack on US soil. It's unheard of. A moron keeping a secret like that?!!?

Make up your minds: Is Bush the stupidest person on the Earth or is he the perpetrator of the most heinous crime (which is also the most best kept secret, lacking any evidence of his involvement) in US History?

It's not a blatant lie, it's his talking without thinking. He is known for that.

How could he have watched it? He was IN a classroom at that time. Did the classroom have a TV showing the secret video of the first plane? Was he watching it on his camera phone? Did the children watch it too? Did the teacher(s)?

It's just Bush being Bush... talking without thinking.

I'm sorry, but your explanation doesn't make sense. Are you saying that he completely dis-remembered the events of that day? If so, then I question his competence considering the rest of the people of the US who have all of their faculties know EXACTLY how they learned of the events of 9/11 and can repeat them without providing factual errors.

My explanation does make sense. He is known for not making sense.

I'd already seen this clip months ago and thought to myself, what a boob he is, he didn't see it. He was IN THE CLASSROOM.

I think I posted this somewhere before: it would make sense that the government would have access to information that the public does not see right away (the French brothers who caught the first plane crash might have given the info to the authorities that very day) or hear about and that information, once disclosed to the public, will have confidential aspects, i.e. the actual date that video footage was first viewed is not exactly known. I have heard people say that it was given to the news outlets first, but I don't buy that, I would believe that the authorities (NYPD, FDNY, the FBI, etc.)would have received word of it first, especially since those two film makers were with FDNY members when the footage was being shot.

He may have seen that and with all that was going on was confused and thought he had seen it that day. It happens to the best of us. We think remember things that didn't happen to us because of something we've heard or we recall memories that aren't our own. It's human nature.

The fact remains that Bush did NOT see the first plane hit, everyone knows that so that statement means nothing as far as I'm concerned. It's just another Bush "Oh shit, I wasn't thinking" moment.
