I made this thread for anyone to talk about today's elections. This doesn't have to be limited to the 3 major elections going on. If you have any mayoral elections or state referenda you wish to talk about, please do. I want to hear about everyone's region of the country.

    As it stands....

Virginia Polls Close 6:00 PM EST

New Jersey Polls Close 7:00 PM EST

New York Polls Close 8:00 PM EST

Actually voted this morning on some important issues in my state referenda here in Texas. The most important probably was Prop. 11.

PROPOSITION 11: Prohibits governments from taking private property for private economic development to increase a tax base. It also limits the Legislature's power to grant eminent domain authority to a governmental entity.

    TTC stuff.

Heading over now, thanks for the info, C'mon Christie..!
"Cowardice asks the question 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it
Politic?' Vanity asks the question 'Is it popular?' But, conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right."

How many minutes after the polls close do you think they'll call the VA Gov race for McDonnell?

Exit polls should be here in about 20 minutes.

I made a mistake on my times. Those times are Central Standard Time. Just add an hour if you live in the east, and you know the drill for time zones.

Yah, I just saw some exit polls on television. Showed strictly polarized partisan voting in Virginia.

I wonder how all this stuff would go down if we had Australia's policy of compulsory voting.
