Dollars to Donuts that he doesnt have a clue to your questions. Its my experience, that along with the clients who have a sense of entitlement, you also have the donors with this sort of attitude. They have no clue where the main source of food comes from, nor how many families are being fed, or how much need there is.

They walk through the door to drop off there rice and beans and probably see the day old, stale donuts that someone has donated and figure thats the bulk of what people are getting.

Also Ill take this time to note, that any pantry receiving federal monies is not allowed to buy snack food with that money, no chips, cookies, soft drinks, etc. Our pantry is run by Volunteers only as we have NO money for paid staff. I know that our agency is audited annually, and for the small amount of money in comparison to our agency budget, its one of our most intensive audits.

Now that I think of it at none of the pantries have I seen snack food either.

    Just unhealthy and not-nutritious food.

Did you write to J.C. ?

He gives away good stuff - turkeys, fresh vegetables, butter and cheese, bread...

I'm not entirely sure you need a nutritionist on staff if you're running a pantry -

All you gotta do, is make sure PEOPLE DON'T STARVE.

Are we on the same page?
