Also Ill take this time to note, that any pantry receiving federal monies is not allowed to buy snack food with that money, no chips, cookies, soft drinks, etc. Our pantry is run by Volunteers only as we have NO money for paid staff. I know that our agency is audited annually, and for the small amount of money in comparison to our agency budget, its one of our most intensive audits.

Now that I think of it at none of the pantries have I seen snack food either.
Just unhealthy and not-nutritious food.
