Dear Mr.President: I regret to inform you....

    Dear Mr.President:

I regret to inform you....that I have lost faith in you. I have been a lifelong Conservative, who has always voted Republican, who believed in the Reagan Revolution...and you have changed that.

I supported you when you went into Iraq, I still do. I believe that Iraq is just a piece in the war on terror that will be waging till long after I am gone. I voted for you not because I was enamored by your beliefs, but that they were better than Al Gore's or John Kerry's. I voted for others in the primaries, but I have supported you regardless for six years...no longer.

Your bull-headed refusal to listen to the American people on the Immigration bill, your reviving of it and your comment "See you at the signing" have left me no options but to abandon you. I will still defend you from those who make outlandish conspiritorial accusations, and from those who hope for your death, but I will no longer defend your judgement.

Below are some of the bad decisions that have precipitated my decision:

    1) Presciption Drug Program-Another big government program that was unnecessary and was in no way a conservative ideal.

    2) Veto Pen- Where was it when the pork laden budgets hit your desk. You were the leader you should have put a stop to these earmarks, and this reckless spending.

    3) Social Security Reform-If you had half the resolve that you had with Immigration we would have reformed Social security.

    4) Bipartisanship-Why did you feel the need to let Ted Kennedy write the education bill? Why did you feel the need to suck up to Democrat leadership? They have one thing in mind only...your destruction.

    5) Iraq-Why have you tried to fight a politcally correct war? It didn't work in Korea, It didn't work in Viet Nam, it isn't working in Iraq.

    6) Ignoring the Base-Why have you decided to totally ignore your base? The grassroots people who got you elected and you have basically told them all to go to hell. Is Illegal Immigration that important to you?

    7) Destroyed the Republican Party-Why have you pursued the path of destruction of the Party? Why did you resurect a dead bill and further anger the base and create a division between the fiscal conservatives and the social conservatives?

    8) Rule of Law-Why have you abandoned rule of law in favor of Illegal Immigrants? What is are country if we have no laws?

    9) Illegal Immigration-I do not understand what your thinking was, you have lost all support you had with the party, and with conservatives. You have ignored common sense and tried along with the RNC elitest leaders to destroy this country.

I am sad to say that 30 years of hard work by conservatives who believed in small government and reduced spending....has been destroyed in six years. I am not swearing off all Republicans, there are still a few heroes in the senate and house, but the Republican party has moved far from the party of Reagan. Reagan once said that he didn't leave the democrat Party, that the party left him. I agree with that statement...this time it's the Republicans.

    Sincerely,

    A Disgusted Conservative.

Re: Dear Mr.President: I regret to inform you....

    Dear Conservative,

You must understand that you are a lowly piss ant with no money and no power, thus you merely lack the correct perspective. That's why you elected me, to tell you what your perspective should be, given all the facts. You see, I am the president and I have all the facts. Now, I don't always tell you what they are and sometimes I lie about them, but I only lie because that's what the facts tell me I have to do in order to act correctly on your behalf. See, you would never let my rule you the way you need me to if you really knew what I was doing. So I need you to shut up and let me make my decisions. After all, I'm a Decider!

It's not that I want to go against the base, its that the base is going against me. You guys elected me and now you don't like what I'm doing. How dare you stop supporting me! Let's say you are a Texas Rangers fan. hehaho I love the Rangers! Let's say I trade one of the most valuable players in the game in order to improve my own, I mean the teams, financial situation. You may not like my decision, but you are still going to root for the team. Now, you just need to have faith that all my decisions are going to end up making the Texas Rangers the best team in baseball. Sure it will take time and you may have to experience years of loss after loss, humiliation after humiliation, but c'mon, you know you are still a fan.

Please understand, that you lack the knowledge to make the decisions that I have to make. Therefore, you must trust my decision making. All the fools and traitors abandoning me in this time of uncertainty are only giving power to the Astros... I mean the Democrats. So, by not trusting me, you are empowering your enemies. Don't you see how stupid that is? If you would just support me, regardless of your own feelings, breed of ignorance, then the Democrats wouldn't have any power and you'd still be rooting for the winning team.

    Yours trueily,
    President George Busch.

    hahohe, I meant George Bush.

    Dear Mr. President:

I gave you my vote twice, and my loyalty for six years and this is the best you can do? You write me back telling me to shut up and trust you like the stupid Texas ranger fans did?

For Gods sake you traded away Sammy Sosa you moron! How many world titles do you have? Maybe we should have elected George Stienbrenner President...at least he knows how to win!

    Sincerely,

    A Disgusted Conservative

The humorous writing in this thread has spoiled a perfectly good opportunity for schadenfreude.

    Curse you funny conservatives.

what I do like is how there are republicans jumping ship from Iraq. Calling for withdrawal.
They say "the speech was months in the making, and weeks in the writing".
So, apparently they were writing the speech when they voted to continue funding the war for another year.
    Hmm......wuzup witdat.

Good post I couldn't agree more. The immigration thing was the straw that broke my back also.

    Dear Fellow Conservative,

As you know, the 2008 election season is upon us. We have many conservative members of Congress who desperately need your support. These Congressmen and Congresswomen share our core beliefs and values on issues such as illegal immigration, education, prescription drug benefits, privatizing social security, smaller government, and the elimnation of pork from the budget. That is why, as the President, I have been leading the fight for these conservative values. It's a fight we cannot win without you. I am, therefore, making a personal appeal to you, to help us in our fight.
Your contribution of five hundred dollars will help support the conservative members of Congress, currently running for office, and help our party retain the White House.

Thank You, and may God Bless America

    George W. Bush
    President of the United States.

You got the person you voted for, a self-centered, spoiled, little brat who wanted nothing but power and to prove to his daddy that he could be a better president than he was. He was raised to be the asshole you all voted for. You were tools and you got used.

I have no sympathy for you. I did not vote for this self-centerd, spoiled prick. He was thrust upon me by your votes. YOU are responsible for every action this guy has taken as president because YOU gave him the power he so craved. You got just what you voted for, a man trained from birth to dispise the common man and to see power at all costs.

The fault if as much your's as his.

Typical response. I am not looking for sympathy...And given a choice between a bloaviating environmentalist wacko, a Liberal socialist elitest, and a less than conservative Republican...I will vote for the Republican.

Then I hold you directly responsible for the results. YOU did this to the country.
