    There are 3 major elections going on in the country next Tuesday, and while not having major ramifications, it is interesting to see the outcome.



    New Jersey Gubernatorial Election - All state offices up for election.



    Chris Christie (Republican)

    Jon Corzine (Democratic)

    Chris Daggett (Independent)





    Virginia Gubernatorial Election - Same



    Bob McDonnell (Republican)

    Craigh Deeds (Democratic)





    New York 23rd Congressional District



    Dierdre Scozzafava (Republican)

    Bill Owens (Democratic)

    Doug Hoffman (Conservative)





    A part from this, many prominent Mayoral Elections and State Constitution Referendal Elections are being held. Among these are...





    New York City Mayoral Election



    Mike Bloomberg (Independent)

    Bill Thompson (Democratic)





    Houston Mayoral Elections



    Peter Brown (Democratic)

    Gene Locke (Democratic)

    Roy Morales (Republican)

    Annise Parker (Democratic)

    Virginia is pretty much all but decided. Even the White House admitted that.

    The biggest that that I see that may come out of this election is that in the 20th Congressional District, a Democrat may be elected to an office that a Republican left which would add one more Democratic seat to the House.

    I hope the "conservatives" keep trying to purify the republican party. That would assure the democrats control for a while longer which would be the best thing that could happen to MY country. I just don't think the country can take any more "conservativism" right now.

    My money's on Corzine because I believe Christie and Daggett will split the "Chris" vote.

    I'll go McDonnell here, I don't think voters trust people who spell "normal" names in odd ways (Craigh). The same goes for everyone named Geoff, Marc, Jaymes, Luq, and Stefanie.

    Hoffman will win because of the endorsement by Sarah Palin... he'll then resign about 7 months from now for the good of his constituents.
