    Again with the lies

We have been here before so this should be easy.

Does the link below make its case, does it hold water, or is it just another set of propaganda? It's supporters claim it to be a list of lies that President Bush told about the Iraq war. Are any of them actual lies or are they just examples of someone injecting spin into a complex, confusing and ambiguous set of intelligence reports.

I challenge the conservatives to open your minds and try to find at least one example from the list that can be said to be a real lie.

I challenge the liberals to open your minds and evaluate the evidence based on a reasonable level of a burden of proof.

Let's see what is there and not what we want to be there!

His assertion that Iraq currently has chemical weapons, seems in hindsight to be incorrect, however there is no evidence that this is a lie. He should have said that "I beleive" he bla bla bla, but failing to do this is not an outright lie. However, it still is dishonest in that he said "he's got chemical weapons" rather than "I BELEIVE he has chemical weaons".

That is not a burden we place on anyone. If that were the standard of honesty then every single statement anyone makes would have to be preceded by the words "I believe."

When people speak it is understood that they are speaking from their own understanding of what they believe about the world.
