Do you have any scientific arguments against? All I hear is political bullshit and not science, where is it?

1) Warming cycles happen. So the earth being warmed should not cause an alarm in of itself.
2) In the 1940's, when there was the beginning of the mass consumerism, with the mass use of the cars and other modern conviences that get the brunt of the global warming attack, there was actually global cooling. Global warming didn't start until the 70's.
3) The theory of MMGW is that an increase in greenhouse gases will put more gases in the troposphere, thus making the earth absorb more heat than would be absorbed if there were no greenhouse gases.
A) Greenhouse gases are good, because they keep the earth warm. I like warmth, a lot more than cold.
B) If it was actually doing this, we would be seeing an big increase in the heat of the troposphere....which we don't see.

4) Correctly analyzing the patterns of the sun is a much better way at long-range weather forecasting than using satellites. Hmm...wonder why.
5) Historically, carbon dioxide levels react to changes in heat, not the other way around.
6) Historically, there have been times where the carbon dioxide level in atmosphere has been much higher.

What I dont understand is why this is so hard for so many. Mpano stole this shamelessly from me, but he's right: reliance on limited fossil fuels as a primary energy source is irresponsible, and breathing brown air isnt a good thing. These arent opinions, they are facts. Hard facts. Incontrovertable facts. No one (well, no one sane) would debate these facts.

So why, if the cause of this issue according to the Warmist movement is man made pollutants from fossil fuels, arent the Warmists attacking the cause of the issue head on? Wouldnt that make more sense?

The only logical reason I can see is because just as Jerry Falwell didnt want the source of his income (donations from gullible senior citizens fearful of angering "god" and spending eternity in Hell) taken away, these similar religious whackos dont want the source of THEIR income (donations from gullible youngsters fearful of angering Mother Earth by polluting and causing the world to heat up and flood the planet) taken from them.

Both are religions. Both have little basis in proveable facts.

Dont buy into it, kids. Write congress. Tell them to stop paying one red cent of your tax dollars to this bullshit and instead spend the money where we KNOW it will do some good: finding viable alternative energy sources! Like MP said....even if these nutjobs are right, the problem will still get solved, and at least this way the cash does some real good!

Where do you get this shit from? Do you have any backing or do you like just making stuff up?

At the moment, the global warming issue and the oil price seem to be telling us the same thing: switch fuels or consume less.

But the solutions are different. For instance, the high oil price can be countered by burning more coal as a substitute. A reduction in gasoline consumption might reduce the oil price, but the oil will still get burned somewhere else if it is cheap.

I'm not sure this article is relevent as there has been no credible connection between global warming and hurricanes. We simply don't know how many hurricanes there were during the last warming period.

No. Its called looking at the facts, young man. No credible evidence exists that global warming is made by man and is not cyclic in nature. The entire basis of this "the sky is falling!" mania is not science.....its faith.

Let me give you some real facts. Atlantic Hurricanes of catagory 4 or higher. From 1970 to 2004 measured in 4 year increments to take into account for yearly cycles. 1970 to 1974 - 41 - 2000 to 2004 - 72. Source National Geographic - August 2006. I suggest you people learn the difference between facts and opinions.
