Thread: Will The Feds Come Take Mary Cheney's Baby Away To A Good Straight Couple?

I just heard on CNN that Mary Cheney had her lesbian love child.

Should a lesbian be allowed to just raise a baby with another woman all out in the open like that?

Doesn't it make God cry or something???

That's what I'd read anyway.

With all due respect to Cheney and her partner, Heather Poe, the majority of more than 30 years of social-science evidence indicates that children do best on every measure of well-being when raised by their married mother and father. That is not to say Cheney and Poe will not love their child. But love alone is not enough to guarantee healthy growth and development. The two most loving women in the world cannot provide a daddy for a little boy—any more than the two most loving men can be complete role models for a little girl.

Does not sound like a fit "role model" to me.

Could someone please notify the authorities!

That poor child's being deliberately deprived of a father. Divorce is usually unforseen, but bringing one into a same sex couple relationship is willful deprivation...you could look at it that way

I know it's probably hard for you to imagine, but most people don't care who a child's legal guardians are. As long as the little one isn't being abused or exploited, even a lot of the hard core "right" are more than willing to live and let live.

I personally liked having a father figure and would feel like I missed out on something without one, but to each their own.
