Hey, um... remember this?
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/po..._contempt.html
The House Judiciary Committee this morning voted in favor of finding former Bush advisor Karl Rove in contempt of Congress for his refusal of a subpoena to testify before the panel.
Well, um... whatever happened?
When the Committee approves such an action, it generally goes to the floor for a vote, correct?
And then, there's all these articles around June '08, like this:
http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecry...his_month.html
July 10 - Rove Contempt Vote Not To Come Till Later This Month
So, they held a floor vote, right?
Wrong!
Ordinarily, it's pretty much a sure thing, that when a House Panel passes a bill, it goes to the floor for a vote.
But um... it seems, NOT WHEN NANCY PELOSI IS IN CHARGE!
Nancy Pelosi is urging the House NOT to go forward with contempt against Rove.
Nancy Pelosi killed the bill!!!
This is the same person who took Bush's impeachment off the table!
Could it be.... she's a Neo-Con? (boo... hiss...)
But wait, it gets better! There's a Senate version too!
Dec 13, 2007 10:36 EST
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday to hold Karl Rove in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate in its probe of fired federal prosecutors.
Once again, we got a floor vote, correct?
WRONG!
Who killed that one?
Why, it was none other than.... Harry Reid!
Now, look here - there are THOUSANDS of articles about Rove getting nailed by both Judiciary Committees.
But there is NOTHING about lack of a floor vote! I had to look REALLY HARD to find anything remotely resembling an article specifically saying "there will be no floor vote".
Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Ried, "quietly killed it". That's what happened.
Now, I ask you, is there any better evidence, that the two parties are ONE AND THE SAME?
