Thread: liar or just wrong

This is the first time I have tried to make a poll so I hope it works.

The poll doesn't work because you started off each choice with either "I lean Left" or "I lean Right." Therefore, the only choice for me would be "other" because I lean neither Right nor Left.

But, regardless of unnecessary political affiliations, he lied, his Gang lied, PNAC lied, Righty Radio lied.........all of 'em lied!

Other: The current division of politics is destroying our fundemental freedom and world standing. I don't care for labels like 'left' and 'right' because a label has limits on individual perceptions of what a right or left is.

Instead, I want to stop focusing on labels and start focusing on doing the right thing for the People, and for our Country.

Everybody lies. There isn't a human on the planet who hasn't told an untruth some point in their lives. Asking if anyody lied or not puts them in a position to either tell you what you want to hear, or tell the literal truth.

It's the results of a lie that define the consequences. I've lied to people before to not hurt their feelings. "Of course you look pretty." While my Wife was 9 months pregnant and her face was blotchy from a recent hormone cry, why would I want to make her cry further by saying "No, you're blotchy" ?

The lie that kills people is the lie that needs to be punished. Period.

I lean left and he honestly believed every single word of it because that's the information he was given and he didn't have even close to the intelligence, experience, education, knowledge of the world, knowledge of current events or simple inquisitiveness to question what was put in front of him to read.

So did he lie? No, he thought it was true. Did Rove, Rumsfeld and Chenny lie to him? Absolutely. Did Colin Powell, a great man and a credit to the Republcian party he SHOULD be the leader of try with all his might to tell him the truth, risk his career to tell him the truth, put everything on the line to try and convince him he was being used by hateful people, and then get turfed by the idiot king for not towing the line? Absolutely yes.

Did Rice then stand by and not take any steps to counter the lie? Just do her job by repeating the lies? Yes.

Other: Didn't lie; And we don't know if he was wrong and may never know....

Oh we know he was wrong. The question is WHY was he wrong. I chalk it up to ignorance, arrogance, ineptitude and incompetence, the four traits that have characterized EVERYTHING this administration has touched. It's kinda like the four horsemen of the Bush administration...

The thing is we dont know if he was wrong. Even Duelfer and Kay werent sure he was wrong. They stated flat out that Saddam was doing what he could to preserve the capability to make WMD's with little to no notice...and that was an issue. They stated that while they have heard reports that WMD's were moved across the border to Syria, they have no evidence that can confirm or deny that claim.

WMD's could have very easily been moved to other nations. Also, WMD's may even now be hidden in the sand in Iraq. Documents seized show that to be probable....but the ISG didnt accept it because they couldnt find evidence of the weapons. Not a shock, given the sheer size of the land area involved...and that we've uncovered hidden weapons caches as large as MiG-25's as late as 4 years after the war started. What else havent we found?

Its hard to believe that every major intelligence agency got this so wrong. And yes, every major intelligence agency in the world believed Saddam was retaining WMD's and the ability to make them (and the later seems to have been true), regardless what the lefties try and convince you through lies and selective memory. They may have gotten it wrong, yes, but its highly suspicious that all of them were so mistaken.

What strikes me about this is how much a lot of it stinks....and not the way the people on the left think. So much of whats found is still to this day classified. Why?? What was found that cant be revealed to the public? Why cant it be revealed? Why has the story changed so often about the items that have been found....seemingly with evidence being altered? Who's being protected, and why?

I suggest that Sadaam was hiding how underdeveloped his weapons program was, but that it still was in tact. I suggest he may as well have shipped large quantities of materials out of the country.

And it is impossible to prove me wrong or perhaps you have evidence to the contrary?
