Thread: So Rosie thinks troops are ignorant poor kids?!?

I'll make this short and sweet! Normally i dismiss most every factless comment that comes out of Rosies' mouth! I can dismiss her ignorant comments about 9/11 conspiracy theory, the lies that the President said Saddam was in on the 9/11 attacks (even though the President never made that statement!). But my blood boiled when she said that troops only sign up and join the Armed Services so that they can go to college! Because they are so clueless, and "poor" that they have no other option! This shows that as usual Rosie has no clue in what she is talking about! This not only down plays their intelligence, but it also puts into question the Patriotism of Brave Men, and Women! That they would only join to benefit theirselves, and that they care nothing for their: friends, family, and fellow Americans (even if they are people like Rosie).

The Fact is that SAT scores are at the highest ever in our armed services, and that the majority of troops have SAT scores that are high enough to get them into Universities withouth joining the Service. Another Fact is that the majority of troops come from middle, and upper middle class homes. (far from the picture painted of the "poor kids" that can do nothing but join the service)

Lastly, No matter what she says about supporting troops, and how much she says she appreciates Troops! We dont care, because she makes those comments, and then in the next breath down plays the job, mission, intelligence, and motives of troops.

Rosie your welcome for the freedom to shoot off that ignorant mouth of yours, but dont speak on things that you know nothing about!

Curious how others feel ????

I'm aware that she is not the first, but the same goes for the ignorant Mr. Kerry as well!

Bill O'Reilly must have you at the edge of your seat at every single show. Do you wave around the foam finger excitedly when he hits just the right point for you?

The troops are doing their jobs. Whether we like the war or not does not give anybody the right or priveledge to mock at those defending. At least get your facts right before you do so. Even the anti-mil organizations get the facts striaght and attack the organized military and not the individual troops.

Um...wrongo. Every American has the right to mock those defending us. I generally don't do it, but I damn well have a right to do it.

But to incorrectly mock? With discredited and incorrect information as Rosie is doing? I dont think that is what the right was intended to do.

For someone who claims they don't watch Rosie, you sure have heard a lot of her quotes.

As for your facts concerning the SAT score and various quotes, please site a reference as they are as weak as your grammar.

But that is my POINT. Rosie is mocking them using false ideas. Is that fair?
