Something all anti-war individuals should read

Regardless of your stance on the war, I think Mr. Prager does indeed make some solid points. What happens next in America and the world if we leave Iraq? What is the fallout?

The fall out is Americans stop dying and Iraq is forced to deal with reality.

Very simplistic thinking on your part.

I don't think so. The country will revert back to a dictatorship as soon as we leave anyway. The is no history of democracy in the middle east for a simple reason. They hate each other. Each ethnic and religious group holds the others in contempt, and feel threatened enough to try and take over. By pulling out now, we would save time, expense, and countless American soldiers' lives.

I dunno. I'm having trouble stomaching the fact that this war was pointless from the beginning and a disaster (upon our economy, body politick and military) ever since and now we have to spend the next 10 years "dealing with it."

Germany is a country of different religious and coultural backgrounds. They were a group of waring city states fighting each other over religion and all only about a hundred years ago. Why do you think the Iraqis cannot do it also? Because they are different? It is funny to me that those on the left cry foul if you were to point out that muslims on a plane should be searched more thuroughly but when talking about democracy suddenly they are different and cannot get their heads around it.

Iraq didn't exist until the British invented it out of convenience and three different countries, for their control.

Germany has, on the other hand, been pretty much one nation (for the time you're talking about).

So the solution is to stay and shove a brand of government down their throats whether they like it or not?

Furthermore, it took Germany from 1814 to 1871 to convert from a group of city states to a country. Are you willing to have Americans in Iraq for 57 years?

Entering Iraq was not a mistake. It was their mistake thinking they could keep getting away with terrorist groups, hiding and protecting them. How long were they getting away with setting off bombs in different countries and nothing was done? Liberals are too passive for me but let their rights get offended here and it’s all out war and discrimination. That’s why gangs flourish in the US because they sit back and do nothing. If a guy came in with a gun and threaded and killed your family I guess your answer would be don’t kill the person with the gun let them walk away and hopefully they won’t be back. Might want to make some coffee for him on his way out. Oh and don’t prostitute the guy and mean why waste good taxpayers money. :whistling:

They voted for it! Nothing was shoved down their throats. they turned out to the polls in amazing numbers.

Once kick started they should be able to handle it on their own.
