You're the one assigning partisan labels to things.
This is where the word "partisan" made its first appearance...notice would posted it?
woiuld you like to see the Bush/GOP spending continued? (endless war in the ME ....whose costs were kept from the public by not even counting the amounts in the budget)
Do you even read posts before you respond? Or is it that you are purposely distorting the flow of conversation with misdirection?

I wrote: "I would like to see both parties cleared out of corrupt politicians...and that would be most if not all. You, being a partisan hypocrite, find corruption led by leftists as good for america, and corruption by righties as bad."

How do you deduce by that post that I support Republican spending abuses?
We can only hope...

It isn't the amount of tax spending that is ever the problem.....It's the purpose & results that this spending is used for.

One of us is hyper-partisan....& it isn't me.

So you think bancrupting the country is a noble, leftist cause... worthy of your support?

Devil505= un-questioned support of Obama policy

conservative= Get rid of all corrupt politicians from both parties

Now which looks like Partisan hypocrisy...

To a degree, yes...but as you well know I did not support most of the Bush policies.

Freddie/Fannie collapse is what brought us to the brink of financial ruin. Those policies were pushed by Democrats to force lending institutions to make bad loans to people who could not afford them. It's just another example of Democrats using other people's money for what they see as charity, and it exploded in our faces. The very fact that you think that there ISN'T a finite amount of tax expenditure is scary in and of itself, and idicative of liberal though processes.

Hypocrisy is a liberal crying about spending in the Bush years, and suddenly becoming okay with it when Obama wants to spend more in his first year than Bush spent in eight.

The base cause of the economic meltdown was the greed of the major oil companies who raped us all by charging some much for (gasoline to get to work) diesel fuel (which raised the price of ALL consumer goods) & home heating oil that there was no money left to pay mortgages, buy car or anything else. The oil companies, (aided by Bush in the WH..who ...at best...looked the other way) almost single handedly destroyed our economy.

Tax money used for the right purposes is what's saving us right now. We have rejected the Karl Rove BS since 2006 & the GOP is now all but irrelevant.

I have many things I disagree with Obama about including what I expect will be a troop increase in Afghanistan rather than a withdrawal.

You take the gutsy stand of claiming to be against "all corrupt politicians".......Who the hell is FOR corrupt politicians???

(Will your next post come out in strong favor of Motherhood...Apple Pie & the American Way??)

When the chips were down, can you point to posts where you strongly opposed Bush or the GOP spending orgy of the last 8 years?...at the time??

You are apparently by supporting this administration and the Democrat party. What you have failed to grasp is that the system is broken. Those who rise to the top in this environment have sold their souls to the devil The politicians who have risen to the top are beholden to too many interests to give a shit about the average american. Until americans wake up to this fact, and boot out all the entrenched politicians, find men and women who love the constitution and want to serve the people..well then we will continue to get the shaft. You think spending money we don't have is a good thing...it is criminal! If you went out and got 100 credit cards and charged them all up with blankets and meals for the homeless and other assorted good deeds...would that nullify the reality of paying for those cards once the bill came in? The issue with the Democrats, lead by your hero Obama, is they are instead running up the cards passing out free gifts to people who will solidify their power for generations. It is all about power...can't you see that. And when it all collapses, someone, some party, some leader will be there to seize power. It may have the facade of democracy...but it will be a seizure. Do you want to live in a country where everything you need to live will be controlled by the government? Maybe so...many in this country apparently don't want to try to better themselves and instead have bought into the lie that the government will supply all their needs.

Had this site not dumped the archives for this new format (not a good trade-off IMO), then yes I could have shown you many posts of mine complaining about Bush and the big spending Republicans. I was naive in that when I bought into the reduction of government revolution of the 80's being sold by Republicans. Even as Reagan spoke so elequently about conservative principles...the Republican party claimed that they needed to control all houses and have the Presidency to make some actual reductions. I dutifully bought their lies and voted for them till 2000 when the dream was acheived. And what happened? They became Democrats...the Republicans decided to spend money, and grow government faster than any administration ever! Where was the soul of these Republicans? I agreed with the Bush tax cut, and I agreed with fighting terrorism around the world...after that there was a long list of failed policies and excessive spending which brought me to this point in day. I am not a Republican, I will not vote for republicans, they are liars. They are now sitting back offering no leadership...their only hope is that Obama scews things up so bad that people forget what they did for eight years...and sadly that is what is going to happen if people don't wake up.

Outlaw ALL corporate political money. ALL of it. No donations, no advertising, not even t-shirts or hats or tickets to baseball games.

All political money must come from INDIVIDUALS ONLY.

That'll be a very good start towards solving this problem.

Audit the Fed! How come they can't get a simple audit bill through committee, when they've already got a veto-proof majority on it? Hm?

Yes. The new third parties are offering some hope, the Conservative Party, the Modern Whigs, .... unfortunately, the rise of these new parties will mean Dem victories for the next few elections, but my guess is that would have happened anyway. No one in their right mind is going to vote for Republicans anymore. Not when they're identical to Democrats. Why vote for the clone when you have the real thing for the same price?

You & I are in total agreement here.... but unless we could ever find a way to stop bribes (Campaign Contributions) & limit the terms of all elected officials we have to deal with the flawed system we have. I too would like everyone to be honest, end corruption.....cure all disease & end all poverty & unhappiness. Until that day, the best thing we can do is keep the GOP from ever regaining power in this country! (& you're wrong...I'm not a staunch Dem. I'm actually quite conservative, except socially. I'd love to see a truly conservative party rise again & get rid of the evangelical .....nation building neocons who now lead the GOP)

Again...It's NOT the money that is the problem.....It's misuse of that money that is. We won WWII on borrowed money & saved the world.
