At least they talkied about it before they done it, and more than two people decided it was the right thing to do, not just the "decider".![]()

Ah hell, jacksbrat. This is just one of a dozen or so articles that is published stating what is "expected" or what is "understood" or what was "overheard".
Obama is in NOLA, he hasn't decided yet on whether or not a troop increase is essential let alone the size of that increase.
No decision has been made yet, michaelr just likes to post rumors and maybes and the like.
But I do agree with you, this time there appears to be a great deal of consideration going into the decision. Did you realize that VP Biden opposes an escalation that the military leaders are advocating.

This is not something that is being taken lightly by the administration.

That was my point exactly. If a little discussion and common sense had been used when we got into the mess, it would be easier to fix. I feel grown up are now in charge.

Do you want Obama to send the additional troops?

How should I know? I've never been there. But I do trust him to listen to someone that has. More than I can say about Bush.

Decision time: If the generals say they need more troops, do you think Obama should send more? Yes or no?
Obama is already pulling an LBJ. He is limiting ther mission of the troops away from all out war to, be careful don't fire back. So now a massive increase in troops but limited engagement. Fromthis we will get more US troops killed. It is terrible.

Why do I get this feeling that it doesn't matter what Obama does, you will say it's wrong. We've been there 8 years already, how can anything be "wronger" then that?

Are you going to take a stance on this or wait for Obama?
