Thread: Where does the buck stop?

About ten minutes ago, Jack Thompson was being interviewed by Fox News, where he implied that violent video games are the main cause for school shootings world wide. Why would anyone want this douchebag's opinion?
The fact that he would even bring up the subject of video games in wake of this tragedy is almost an even bigger tragedy. Does anyone else think this guy is an asshole?

No he is an anti video game crusader. Look him up on Wikipedia and see this guy's shamefull history of scapegoating a popular but harmless hobby of today's youth.

Yeah that guy is bullshit. How does he explain that most of the top 20 video games sold aren't even that violent. One is World of Warcraft. I don't remember seeing a school or child involved in any mage frostbolts or warrior chopping cleaves. In fact that game in itself makes kids MORE dorky if anything, not more violent. Since most of the top games (I'll admit there are a few that are violent and popular) are like World of Warcraft in essence, the guy really has no leg to stand on.

Now if he wants to crusade on the addiction of these games, go right ahead, I'll listen.
