It is very sad when we see the depravity of the human condition. All of us here on this board are obviously much higher up in the hierarchy than the people who do this kind of thing. Clearly justice demands that these people receive the appropriate consequences. I just finished reading on the "capital punishment" thread where I was reamed for suggesting that God had a different view of capital punishment than some of the other posters (not exactly for or against). And then several times in the last few minutes I have seen a number of comments desiring hell or other punishments for these cruel people. What do you suppose God thinks when he sees us doing what we think is right and he knows otherwise? Here I am writing in support of my agenda and I have lost sight of the sympathy I should be feeling for the victims. Do I not also deserve a consequence?
The people who spread acid on playgrounds are as far below us as we are below God - who says "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." and "the wages of sin is death." So for my lack of sympathy in the last paragraph I have earned my wages.
What is wrong with people? In our very soul we desire what is wrong.
What is the solution?
Our justice system should be harsh when sentencing the animals who did this.
Someone out there knows who did this and if they do not turn this person in, they are just as guilty as the one who did it. How can people remain quiet when there are so many ways to report crimes anonymously?
The best thing to do with people that do something like this is sugar coat them.
After you've tied them next to a nest of fire ants.
Im not crazy about everything they do but that doesnt mean I bring the U.S. up in every post especially when it has nothing to do with the topic. Winston Churchill said that the sign of a fanatic is one who is unwilling to change the subject and and unable to change his opinion.
