If you were to discuss my political orientation with most people on this board, I believe you would find that they would refer to me as a liberal. Some may view me as a centrist because I tend towards conservative views on issues like the military and fiscal responsibility.

Hypocrisy implies that I have stated one thing- and have acted or believed contrary to my stated position. Would you care to explain what, precisely I said or did that constituted hypocrisy? I have advocated a position of personal responsibility. This means that I don't buy into the nonsense of the "bad childhood" defense any more than I believed the "twinkie defense."

It all comes down to a simple concept: We should not look for reasons to excuse or defend bad acts such as this. Neither should we be looking for reasons to exculpate people through strained leaps of logic that are neither true nor logically consistent.
