How do you view the war on drugs? Its been 25 years since Nixon declared war and our streets have dont nothing but be run-over with crime cause by the illigal selling of drugs, and the availability of those drugs makes them easier to obtain than ever before. Im trying to avoid a geo-political tirade here, but no matter how much I agree with the mission of America's other war, the means and results of it have gotten us no where fast. What is the solution to this problem? Every year it seems like were wasting billions of dollars on it with little to no result. What could be the solution to this? A mass legalization? An even tougher crackdown? A slow legalization process of all drugs nationwide, or perhaps a legalization of certain drugs, providing more resources to be used on so called "harder" drugs. New York alone spends 5.8 Billlion dollars a year housing drug-offense convicts in its cells, with no results in numbers to show for it. Is it time for America to face the reality that drugs will never leave the culture and to learn to live with it instead of pushing it away. Who knows, maybe New York could use that 5.8 B makr on changing a few of those 200 schools with a 50% drop out rate. Anyways, any opinions?
