FACTBOX: Senate passes $636 billion defense spending bill

The government is running on borrowed time, they had to "vote" for emergency spending just to keep them open for a month. They are raising the debt "ceiling", and now propose a VAT tax on top of the income tax. Millions are unemployed and living in tents or with family members, hell apartment rentals are actually down something like 12.5%...unimgainable...

But hey, the MIC will grow, we will pay for endless illegal occupations, and of course some pet projects. It is really time to think about our priorties....and WTF didn't the liar in chief claim the war budgets would be part of the budget....you know he did!!!

I'm confused. You are against the government helping people but are upset that our fellow citizens are living in tents? You are for the military but against funding them?

Do I have you confused with another member?

National defense is a Constitutional priority of the Federal government. While there's certainly waste in that budget, clearly the deficit reducing cuts must be made in the SERVICES and ENTITLEMENT areas that violate the Constitution.

The government shouldn't be providing housing for people, for example. Nor should it be providing medical services, retirement ponzi schemes, or anything else. There's no need for any silly VAT, just spending cuts and tax cuts.

You need to read more of my posts. I am not for todays version of the military, and this is wasteful spending whilst the American people are hurting it bad.

    One illegal occupation.

Since Afghanland started the war on September 11, we have every right to make the entire land completely uninhabitable if we wish.
